Bottom line The frustrations were, well, frustrating—but being able to wield a full gamepad for Rocket League and other Mac games made it worth the minimal hassle. I've tried switching between the Switch Pro Controller and the Steam Controller to test if it is a bug on my save, but running and sprinting works 100% on the Steam Controller. I just set up a Citra config that uses the gyro as a mouse so that I can access the touchscreen easily while playing. There are so many more options now that it's like a different controller on PC. I hate to say it but Valve might be undercutting the need for their own controller by doing this, since I haven't considered the trackpads all that necessary and the Switch can give me everything else aside from the grip buttons. Valve has already put out one update that improved a number of things for the controller, I'm really pleased with how they're full-assing this. Click to expand.

If you have an Xbox controller, try rebinding your controller to the console by pressing the bind button on the console, and then the bind button on the controller. The LEDs will flash and become solid when the binding is successful. If your controller does bind, you have isolated the issue to the Wireless Adapter for Windows. If your controller does not bind to your console, see Set up the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. Unplug your adapter, reboot your device, and then plug it back in (to another port if possible), and try again. Maybe might be helpful as well. I think in theory this could work.
