Slow Keyboard Response Office 2016 For Mac
It feels like that the keyboard is having a memory lapse hehe. Is this a sign of a keylogger installed in my PC? I scanned my PC using Spybot S & D + Ad Aware (freeware version) + Norton AV 2007 and It just showed a bunch of tracker cookies.
IT WORKED GREAT, AND ONCE I'VE PUT THE BATTERY BACK, IN IT WAS BACK TO THE SAME OLD THING AGAIN. I KNEW THE BATTERY WAS SHOT, BECAUSE WHENEVER I UNPLUGGED IT FROM THE WALL IT WILL DIE RIGHT AWAY. Computerworld staffers running Office for Mac 2016 on El Capitan-powered Macs have been affected as well. Not everyone has had to deal with crashing productivity. An engineer who specializes on the Mac and works for a multi-national IT services firm reached out to Computerworld, saying that none of those in his workplace's pilot program had seen Office 2016 for Mac crash or freeze when running on El Capitan. On Wednesday, Microsoft issued a fix for a separate-but-related issue, one involving Office for Mac 2011, the new suite's predecessor. That problem had caused Outlook 2011 on El Capitan to crash when syncing with Exchange mail servers. An claimed to stop the crashes, and users commenting on Microsoft's support forums confirmed that they were again working without interruption. Not surprisingly, that prompted people running Office for 2016 to ask when their needs would be addressed.
Went to settings and found delays and speed for the mouse but nothing about a keyboard. Also changed the McAfee virus check to Ask before download updates so it isn't running in the background all the time taking up processor's time and memory. 
The other possibility is that there is something wrong with one of the 4 processors. Can't find diag test other than internet speed test.

Switching from tab to tab (e.g. Acitvitiy to teams) or even between channels in the same team takes anything from 1-2 seconds for loading the respective conversation. If you are working on multiple teams, this is very annoying and does not fare well in a direct comparison to Slack, which we are still using in parallel until Teams can be used with external users (e.g. Clients), too. We like Teams and want to push it, but UX like this makes it a hard sell. Bandwidth is not the problem, it's the 'perceived performance'. As a user, whenever I click on a link or a button or switch channel - I expect instant visual feedback that the app has accepted my command and is actively working on it.

A 2nd 500gb in the mac is now promoted to the system drive. The old drive’s smartctrl parameters did not reveal anything bad, – checked with the disk manager, healthy – did the server diagnostics taking more than 16 hrs, no errors. – used onyx to clean up but it did not reveal anything weird. But then Superduper and carbon copy trials were the savers 😉 – Every time when started Superduper to copy the system image it would stop with error due to file i/o error and mainly with files having date attribute of the day of the crash. I just manually deleted these files from console window every time. System response got faster due to deletion of cache files and log files which onyx did not catch.
I just may change that part in this guide. And also change the link in Tip #7. Yes it is true that Macs arent immune to malware anymore. I had a customer call and ask for advice because their system got infected by cryptolocker. Thats not really malware its ransomware, but still. It should be much faster now. It did work for me. Ease of Access has mouse and keyboard adjustments. It's like the control center. I know this is an old thread, but for anyone having a hard time with this. I hope it helps. Keplenk said: hi all, I'm having problems with my laptop when typing.
I decided to create my account once again, without deleting the initial one. I was concerned that removing my account might remove the draft messages as well. This meant I duplicated my account. And magically this account immediately sent the first test message.
And this problem is not just on my computer at home, have the same on the installation on my laptop. The same goes for my friend. We have been on different networks. At home with, at the job, at other companies, so it's not the internet that makes this happen, it's the app. No problem what so ever with slack. The performance in stable all over the boards, channels, groups etc. It's sad because overall in features Teams is nice.:/.
EDIT-------------------------- Thanks to users and for the links! Putting this at the top for those of you who came here searching for a solution. The issue is a bug introduced sometime in Feb 2016 and can occur if there are images in your Signature.
